If you are moving to the Southlake area and have a student who will be attending Dawson Middle School, we want to help make his or her transition as smooth as possible.
CAMPUS TOUR
Before moving, you may wish to visit our school. If you would like to set up a tour, please contact Lindsey Carreras at (817) 949-5500 or by email at lindsey.carreras@southlakecarroll.edu.
PROTECT THE TRADITION
If you’re part of the Carroll ISD family, you are going to learn to love green! Our district mascot is the Dragon and all academic and athletic teams compete as Carroll Dragons. Clothing and other spirit items are available in Spirit Shops at every campus to help you dress the part, and you’ll soon be ‘Protecting the Tradition’ in true Dragon fashion.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
Please refer to the following link for information on required documentation for registration including proof of residency, immunization requirements and documentation from your student’s previous school.
PART OF THE COMMUNITY
Having only one school district in our city, we have close ties with the City of Southlake. Our shared news page is a great resource and can be found at www.mysouthlakenews.com.
NEW CISD STUDENT MATH PLACEMENT
Click here to view information regarding math in CISD.
Carroll ISD has various Pre-AP math courses (see Secondary Math Flow Chart) for CISD 7th and/or 8th graders who qualify . Each math course requires a set of prerequisite skills for success.
Students not currently enrolled in Carroll ISD should inquire from their current district about possible Credit by Exam options. Carroll ISD CANNOT administer a CBE to students not enrolled in CISD.
*Please note: Placement in a course will only occur if the credit is given to the campus before the beginning of a school year, regardless of when a CBE for acceleration is taken.
